Homampour Law Firm Attorneys Arash Homampour and Scott E. Boyer secured a $15,920,000 dangerous condition settlement involving a motorcyclist who was hit by a motor vehicle. The Plaintiff motorcyclist was traveling through an intersection in the City of Ontario when he was struck by a left-turning motorist. Law enforcement determined the motorist to be 100% at fault for failing to yield the right of way to the Plaintiff approaching from the opposite direction. At the time of the collision, Defendant W.A. Rasic Construction Co. was repairing a manhole on the opposite side of the City intersection. Plaintiff suffered physical injuries and emotional distress, while his wife suffered damages for loss of consortium. Plaintiffs sued Defendant driver for negligence and W.A. Rasic Construction Co., City of Ontario and Inland Empire Utilities Agency for negligence and dangerous condition of public property. The insurer for W.A. Rasic agreed to pay $15,900,000 while the insurer for the Defendant driver agreed to pay $20,000. The parties participated in mediation with Hon. Thierry Colaw.
